Rymans Disability Cup 10 Feb 2013

Rymans Disability Cup

This year the Rymans Football League have decided to help Disability Sport and put their name to the Rymans Disability Cup.

Matches have to be played in top stadium and facilities around the Country. Referees and Assistant Referees have to be provided for every game.

St Albans City Youth Disability team played their first round game against local rivals Harvesters.

Led by player/manager Andrew Gilbey and captain Matt Caller the St Albans boys stepped up the occasionand dominated the early part of the game and quickly built up a 4-0 lead before Harvesters fought back.

With the wind behind them in the second half The Saints went onto seal an 11-1 victory with goals scored by Ben Kelly scoring 7 , Tommy Plain 1, Andrew Gilbey 2 and Sean Ellingham scoring a cracker.

Sean Ellingham was the man of the match. Ben Kelly went away with the match ball. Graham Tuitt helped strengthen the defence in the second half.

Well done to both teams who played the match in the right spirit and good luck to St Albans in the next round.
