Ian Woods (Secretary's Report)

  • Any trophies won last season needed to be handed back in this month.
  • Teams in the Hertfordshire Development League need to send in a squad list to the league in preparation for cup matches.
  • The club are still getting a few fines due to teams not sending in result cards.
  • If your team are putting away the nets at Highfield Park, please ensure that the person in charge of taking them down knows where they go afterwards.
  • U11 teams need to start planning for moving to Sunday's next season, this is enforced amongst all teams at U12 age group. U10 teams may also want to move to Sunday's if they want to allow for their players to play District football.
  • The club presentation day will be on Sunday 30th June.

Robert Baker (Treasurer's Report)

  • We still have £20,000-£30,000 to collect for subs.
  • Four teams still haven't provided Robert with their team sheets.
  • After the issues this year, the club will be using a new registration system next season.
  • If there is confusion as to if a parent has paid for this year’s subs, find out the date in which they believe they transferred the money and pass over to Robert.
  • Can teams please keep fines down where possible.

Geoff Watts (on behalf of Laurence Wilson)

  • The club 'Wildcats Scheme' is starting up again this month. This is now exclusively for Years 1-2 as new teams have now been formed for the older age groups.

Sam Mardle

  • If there are any questions regarding the new club Player Pathway Centre then please speak to Sam.
  • There was a trustee meeting in November. All ideas and proposals will be put forward to managers in next month's meeting.
  • The upcoming February half term camp is going to be relaunched, with more work being done alongside the senior team.

Chris Samways

  • Registration for City Youth run after-school clubs is now completed directly through the club on their website.
  • (Geoff Watts): Congratulations to Chris on being awarded 'HSP Community Coach of the Year'.

Terry Edwards

  • Apologies for my absence from meetings over the past few months.
  • The press coverage isn't bad but isn't great, this is down to the newspaper editors.
  • Can match reports please be sent in as soon as possible.

Managers Reports

  • The U8 Lions, Tigers and Gladiators ran a successful mini tournament before Christmas.
  • Thanks to Tom Johnson for helping the U8 teams make last minute bookings on the Samuel Ryder AstroTurf when Highfield has been unplayable.

Any Other Business

  • Julian Hails: The goal nets at Nicholas Breakspear are useless, especially the 9 a ‘side metal goals. This has been reported by the club on multiple occasions and we are still waiting for something to be done about them.
  • Chris Johnson: The futsal equipment at Samuel Ryder could do with an overhaul. The nets on the goals aren't fitted properly and some of the support networks are either lost or broken, potentially causing a risk to health and safety. Samuel Ryder is the cheapest facility in the local area and perfect for both training and matches, the club should work alongside the school to make sure the facilities stay in great condition.
  • The next meeting will be on Sunday 3rd February.
