HERTFORDSHIRE GIRLS PARTNERSHIP FOOTBALL LEAGUE.
Last week we started with youngest teams so this week we will start with older Girls and so we kick-off with the STACY 18's Girls and they were at home to Bury Rangers Girls and they were certainly in a festive mood as they delivered lots of presents in the state of 9 goals as they won 9-1. There were seven different goalscorers and they were
Maz Horne-Batet 2, Sophie Veal 2, Harriet Lethbridge, Mia Pinkham, Emma Judd, Kate Holder and Bora Cela who was also player of the match.
There was also an exciting match between the STACY 16's Girls North and Bedwell Rangers Girls Red as they shared six goals between them with the match finishing all square finally at 3-3. Scoring the goals for the North Dina Said, Kiera Ward and Olivia Pickersgill whilst Caitlin Morley was named as player of the match.
The STACY 15's Girls South had a home match against Berkhamsted Raiders Blue and the Lady Saints went on to win 3-0 and it could have been 7 or 8 following an outstanding team performance and leading the way was player of the match Maisie Humphreys with a dazzling hat-trick.
The STACY 15's Girls North were also at home, but they eventually lost 2-1 after a close match to Hitchin Belles Blue. Jasmine Fells scored the North's goal whilst Freya Bolam was named as player of the match.
Playing Goff’s Oak at home were the STACY 13's Girls Wildcats and after a tight first half saw the Wildcats strike to go on and win 3-0 with Reese Anscomb scoring a fine brace with Robyn Page getting one. The player of the match was awarded to the hard-working Emily Dante.
Another team with a home match were the STACY 13's Girls North and their opponents were Hitchin Belles Blue, and it was the North Girls who were left feeling blue with a 4-2 defeat. Scoring the goals for the North were Rebecca Smith and Alessia Cipolla with a goal apiece.
The STACY 12's Girls Wildcats and they had a home match against Broxbourne United Poppies and with a goal apiece from Chloe Nuttall and Imogen Miller saw the Wildcats win 2-1 with Zoe Eyles picking up the player of the match award.
In Division 3 of the HGPFL saw the top two teams play each other and they were STACY 12's Girls North who were at home to Harpenden Colts Jets and it ended up as another thriller in Manila with result ending as a 2-2 draw with the North twice coming back from being a goal down with Jacey Dyett scoring a equaliser with two minutes to go. The other North goal was scored by player of the match Verity Lobina.
There was not much joy for the STACY 12's Girls Central as they lost 3-1 at home to Bedwell Rangers Dragons with Emily Ball scoring the only goal for the Central Girls.
Away to Harpenden Colts Jaguars were the STACY 11's Girls Wildcats and the Wildcats were not at full strength and with no subs saw them give a fine battling performance and the player of the match went to Aniya Merrison who gave a relentless display of chasing and tacking throughout the game.
The STACY 11's Girls Central were away to Bedwell Rangers Athletico and scoring two goals during the match was the player of the match Jasmine Mercer whilst three players all scored one apiece and they were Alice Taylor, Sophea Bridge and Aasha Barker.
Next the STACY 10's Girls Romans played Watford Girls Hornets away and having a sting in her tail was player of the match Lucy Carter for the Romans who scored two fine goals, one in each half.
Away to Ruislip Rangers Clarets Girls were the STACY 10's Girls Central and Daisy Oaten with tireless running was rewarded with a goal in the second half whilst goalkeeper Holly Baker had a great game between the sticks. Captain Lilia Clarke was well deserved her player of the match title and she was also very unlucky not to score with a couple of chances going awfully close whilst Liana Sprunt had a fine game as well.
The STACY 9's Girls Romans took part in a high scoring game with Bury Rangers Girls and scoring the goals for the Romans were Emily Watts 2, Grace Fergie, Eva Kitson, Ellie Roberts and Nadeen Kelifa Young.
Also scoring a few goals in a match as the STACY 9's Girls Central took on Chorleywood Common Leopards away and scoring for the Lady saints were Isabella Habbouchi, Jasmine Noorian, Jessica Kutcher, Tegan Broadhurst and two from player of the match Evie Rosenheim with some great finishing. This was an excellent team performance for the Central squad as they worked hard during the whole of the game.
At home to Chipperfield Corinthian Girls were the STACY 9s Girls Wildcats and scoring goals for them were Cecilia Turton-Rye and captain Abigail Tierney who also played well for the Wildcats.
The STACY 8's Girls Orient had a Tasmanian Devil in their team in their match away at Berkhamsted Raiders Blue with Rosie Harris going through the home team's defence like a whirlwind and scoring, wait for it 5 goals. Other scorers for Orient with brace was Phoebe Allen whilst Maddie Latham scored one following a good mazy run and finish.
Away to Berkhamsted Raiders Red were the STACY 8's Girls North and they turned in a solid team display and scoring goals for them were Anna Dibbs, Kiki Kosh, Jessica Barrett and Jessica Edwards.
